すっかり夏の日差しが眩しい季節になりました。
北海道の佐呂間では３９.５度の新記録が出ました！
札幌も先日は３０度越えでしたよ〜！
今年の夏は暑くなりそうですね〜！！

さて、Wagaya住人は暑さの中でも毎日楽しく暮らしていますよ♪
そんな住人の様子を覗いてみませんか？
というわけで今回から定期的に住人紹介とインタビューをお届けしたいと思います。
第一号はスコットランド出身のAdam君。
この２年は日本語学校に通っていましたが、先日、念願の北海道大学に合格しました！
写真はみんなでお祝いした時の様子です。

The first issue is Adam from Scotland.
I have been attending Japanese language school for the past two years, but on the other day I passed the wished Hokkaido University!
The photo shows the celebration when we all celebrated.

さっそくAdam君の１日に密着してみましょう〜！

朝、冷蔵庫を掃除してくれていたAdam君。
Adam who was cleaning the refrigerator in the morning.

庫内の食材を整理して、綺麗に拭いてくれています。
Wagayaでは掃除や部屋の管理も住人同士で協力して行なっています。
写真を撮られてちょっと照れてますね・・・笑

Organize the ingredients in the warehouse and wipe it clean.
At Wagaya, residents and residents also cooperate in cleaning and management of rooms.

その後は日本語の勉強です。

After that I study Japanese.

でも、この本はAdam君にはもう簡単すぎるらしいです・・・笑
それもそのはず、Wagayaの日本人住人に鍛えられてAdam君の日本語レベルは相当なものです。

But this book seems to be too easy for Adam-lol
That should be the case, trained by Japanese residents of Wagaya, Adam's Japanese level is considerable.




飽きたらTVでひと休み。

When I got tired, I took a break on TV.

このように、日本語の勉強＆大学進学の準備をしながらも、Wagayaで上手に息抜きして毎日を送っているようです。
Adam君の日常を覗いたところで、インタビューしてみましょう。

Let's have an interview with Adam after seeing his daily life.


Mina：Adamはなぜ日本、しかも北海道に来たの？

Mina: Why did Adam come to Japan, and even Hokkaido?

Adam君：スコットランドで高校に通っていた時、フランス語を勉強しました。そこで言語を勉強することが楽しいと思ったけど、
ヨーロッパの言語は僕にとっては簡単だった。そこで、もっと遠く離れた国の難しい言語を勉強したくて・・・日本を選びました。
で、スコットランド出身だから、暑いのが苦手なこともあって北海道がいいなと思って。
北海道の冬でも僕にとっては全然寒くない。笑

Adam: When I was in high school in Scotland, I studied French. I thought it would be fun to study languages there,
European languages were easy for me. So I wanted to study the difficult language of a distant country ... I chose Japan.
Well, I'm from Scotland, so I think that Hokkaido is good because I'm not good at hot weather.
Even winter in Hokkaido is not cold at all for me. Lol


Mina：なるほど、確かにいつも冬でもパーカー１枚で出かけてるよね。笑　日本語を勉強するときに工夫していることはある？

Mina: I see, I always go out with one Parker even in winter. Lol Have you devised something when studying Japanese?

Adam君：本を読んだりテキストを使った勉強もするけど、たくさん日本人と話すようにしている。積極的に遊びにも出かけて
新しい友達も作るようにしているんだ。この間はお花見に何回も出かけて沢山の日本人と話すことができて楽しかった！

Adam: I read books and study using texts, but I try to talk to Japanese people a lot. Actively go out to play
I also try to make new friends. During this time I was able to go out to Hanami many times and talk to many Japanese people and it was fun!

Mina:人見知りしないでいろんな人と話せてすごいよね〜！Wagayaにはどうして来たの？

Mina: It's great to talk to people without knowing people! Why did you come to Wagaya?


Adam君：前に別のシェアハウスに住んでいてそこも楽しかったけど、英語を使う住人がほとんどで日本語の勉強にならなかったんだ。
Wagayaは日本人と外国人がちょうど半分ずつくらい住んでいるから、日本語を使う機会があってもっと勉強になると思った。
英語を使う機会もあるから暮らしやすい。

Adam: I used to live in another share house before and I enjoyed that, but most of the residents who used English didn't study Japanese.
Because Japanese and foreigners live in about half by half, Wagaya thinks that there is an opportunity to use Japanese and learn more.
It is easy to live because I have the opportunity to use English.

Mina：これから北海道で何をしたい？

Mina: What do you want to do in Hokkaido from now on?


Adam君：Wagayaで暮らしながらもっと日本人と沢山話して日本語が上手になりたい。
来年の春からは大学に通うから、そこで日本の文化や政治経済などを勉強したいと思っている！

Adam: While living in Wagaya, I would like to speak Japanese a lot more and become better at Japanese.
I will go to university next spring, so I would like to study Japanese culture, political economy, etc. there!




Adam君ありがとう！これからが、とても楽しみですね！！
最後にAdam君の大好物、フライドチキンと梅酒で締めくくり♪
